Welcome to eden bookkeeping, East Grinstead’s local and friendly bookkeeper.
“Small business owners have enough to concentrate on without using their valuable time doing the paperwork. By providing a great bookkeeping service and producing regular financial updates, Eden can help to keep them on the track to success.”
– Alison Morphew FICB Dip PM, Owner
All businesses need to maintain accurate and reliable financial records, whether for government bodies, shareholders or for their own information about cash flow and profit. Eden bookkeeping can help you process the necessary paperwork and keep you in control of your finances.
Here are some of the services we offer….
Remote Bookkeeping
‘Cloud-based’ solutions for bookkeeping are making life simpler and more efficient for small businesses. You can send us your receipts monthly or quarterly, or upload them online, and we can do the processing for you.
Software Training
We are fully certified in Xero and Quickbooks Online cloud software. If you need a little help getting started with these applications, or need a quick update on how to do certain tasks, we can help.
Starting a New Business
Starting a new business is exciting yet a little daunting. We can guide you through the accounts process, from creating professional invoices to choosing the best accounting software for your needs.
VAT Returns
As a VAT registered company you need to submit a return to HMRC every three months. Eden can ensure the figures are calculated correctly, you have processes in place to save for and pay the bill on time.
Payroll
As an employer, you have a responsibility to calculate pay, tax and national insurance for your employees. Eden can manage your payroll, keeping you current with the ever-changing legislation.
Cash Flow and Credit Control
Knowing when regular payments are due, who owes you money and who you owe can be the key to maintaining a successful business. We can monitor your accounts and help keep your finances on track.
Eden Bookkeeping is owned by Alison Morphew, a qualified bookkeeper with many years of experience. She had to learn basic bookkeeping skills for her job running a small shop in East Grinstead (2007) and ended up catching the bookkeeping bug. Alison decided to undertake full professional training with the Association of Accounting Technicians (2011), followed by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (2012).
Having worked within the finance departments of charities and organisations for many years, Alison decided to step out of the shadows of helping a few friends with their annual tax returns to launch her own company, Eden Bookkeeping, in 2012.
Eden is built on a foundation of creating systems and processes that allow sole traders and small business owners to concentrate on their own strengths, releasing them from the nitty-gritty of everyday paperwork and record-keeping.
